As anyone who has clicked the About Me link below and looked through my photography knows, I have a thing for abstract images. I love looking at a photograph and not being entirely sure what it is. It’s a way of using the camera like a paint brush – assembling color and form together into a pleasing composition that is purposefully removed from context. So, if Mark Rothko can present a canvas painted black and call it art, then I can do the same with an image like this.
My intention is to keep abstract images off this blog, since I hope to tell at least a small story with each post. But sometimes, instead of a story you get a feeling. And that’s the value of the abstract.
