This little house on City Island must’ve been the scene of quite an intense fire. Apparently, as the flames burned through this window, they melted and curled the aluminum siding, revealing the brick below. Actually, this might be a way to make siding more appealing.
CORRECTION: It’s been pointed out to me that a house fire, no matter how intense, is unlikely to produce the 1220 degree Fahrenheit temperature required to melt aluminum. This is, I suppose obviously to anyone but me, vinyl siding.
