The First Blizzard

2010 December 26

Since moving to New York, many friends have made me promise to journey into Central Park after the first big snow fall of the season. So when it began to come down this morning, I decided it was time to keep promises. By the time I made it into the park, the blizzard was in full swing. You might think it would be lonely out in the wet snow and the cold, but I found the park as alive and vibrant as a warm summer day. Pedicabs, joggers, snowball fights, toboggans, and even a cross country skier. It took it all in as long as I could, but soon had to find shelter under a bridge. But, oh my, is the snow beautiful!
